Thanks. I find that whole runway look and walk ridiculous. It’s one of those things that seems to have always been that way (maybe not – but as long as I can remember) and seems like it will never change. Wouldn’t a smile be more pleasing to people? A slower, less aggressive walk make the clothes more approachable?

David, yes, the look and demeanor of the models is off-putting.  But then, I find that with most, if not all, models on haute couture runways.  That look of “I’d just as soon shoot you as look at you” (a polite way of putting it)—I don’t know what that’s meant to convey.  Is it supposed to be sophisticated?  Nonchalant?  A blank slate?  Because it’s anything but.

And the stringy hair falling all over their faces so that they can barely see where they’re walking—who knows?  There’s a lot of weirdness as well as beauty in fashion, so I just try to put up with the former to get to the latter.  (Though a little ridicule goes a long way!)

Hmmm. I looked at his website and I can’t say I love his work. Some of it, yes, but most of it is a little severe and joyless. I liked some of his floral print pieces and the white dresses with floral panels. Partly I also don’t love his models with that platinum hair in front of their faces but with the black eyebrows. Jeez. But HE’s pretty damn sexy!
