County landmark John Browns Store has a new lease on life. The familiar stone building, at the corner of Falls and Shawan roads, has been given a fresh remodeling. The custom sandwiches menu offers a long list of favorites with interesting accents like horseradish cream sauce, field greens, olive tapenade, basil pesto sauce, roasted red peppers, avocado and chipotle mayonnaise. There’s plenty of Italian specialty meats like mortadella, Genoa salami and prosciutto, as well as homegrown staples like pastrami, corned beef, pulled pot roast, pulled barbecue pork and pork loin.
