Congrats to The Family Tree for hosting their 20th anniversary Great Chefs’ Dinner, held once again at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley. It was a beautiful, warm spring evening, and the party was a sell-out. Inside, 40 tables were each elaborately decorated by designers from around town (look for Style‘s favorites in our annual Food Issue later this year). This year’s guest celebrity chef was Jeff Michaud of Osteria restaurant in Philly.
Then on Saturday night, we got decked out in our 1960s finest for the ‘Mad Men’-themed party at The Center Club, to benefit Everyman Theatre. Most people got into the spirit— co-host Claire Miller looked like Audrey Hepburn ala ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s,’ Sun scribe Sloane Brown had a teased bouffant, Edie Brown and co-host Betty Maizlish both looked stunning in vintage-style cocktail dresses. There were lots of skinny ties and fedoras on the gents. Other folks we chatted with included Mark & Linda Caplan, Dr. Steve Sobelman, John Warnack and Tom Moore. A truly fun and chic cocktail party. Then we skipped over to the Capital Grille for some Stoli Doli’s while watching the end of the second game of the O’s doubleheader, then for a nightcap at 13.5% Wine Bar before toddling home.
