Usually I don’t promote organizations and their fundraising so blatantly. But this time I’ve got to. The Baltimore Child Abuse Center has a chance to win $500,000 in a unique vote sponsored by Chase Bank’s Chase Community Giving Program. In the interest of transparency, I’m a former board member. This organization saves lives of children who otherwise wouldn’t stand a chance against the monster of child abuse. BCAC has already won $25,000 for being one of the 100 national finalists, Maryland’s only non-profit to reach this level. The voting is done on Facebook, so you have to visit http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving or go to http://tinyurl.com/votebcac to cast your vote. Each organization had to present a “Big Idea” in the competition.
