Well articulated, as usual, Neil. Seems like a no brainer, wouldn’t you say? That we should not be hypocritical and expect others to respect our holy sites and places of worship, if we can’t stand up and protect the same rights for them.
Some people cling to a worldview that enables them to “stay put” an d have ready made answers to the complexities and contradictions of life that come up every day. For them, to look within, to stretch, to go deeper is too hard. What you value i.e. “the struggle” is what they seek to avoid.
