Steven and Barbara Arbesman of Marriottsville, Md., are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice Alyssa, to Jared Scott, son of Marc and Arlene Sherman of Hauppauge, N.Y.

Candice received her Bachelor of Science degree in gerontology and psychology from Towson University. She also received a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.  She works as a social worker for the Sheppard Pratt Health System.

Jared received his Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Towson University, where he earned a master’s degree in teaching secondary education. He is employed as an undergraduate academic adviser at Laureate Education, Inc.

Candice is the granddaughter of Jack Arbesman and the late Hilda Arbesman and Minnie Block and the late Raymond Block.

Jared is the grandson of Lillian Sherman and the late Harold Sherman and Irving and Muriel Gursky.

A November 2013 wedding is planned.

Bev Rosen and Dr. Gerald Rosen are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Seth Daniel, to Sarah Elizabeth Aronson, daughter of Raymond and Linda Aronson of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Sarah graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor of arts degree in history. She is a consultant at the Advisory Board Company, a health care research and consulting firm in Washington, D.C.

Seth is a graduate of Northwestern University with a bachelor of science in journalism. He received a master’s degree in national securities studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and is a government contractor.

Sarah is the granddaughter of the late Rae Lyon and the late Hyman Sklar, and the late Julia and Rudolph Aronson.

Seth is the grandson of Dorothy Kryger and the late Lawrence Kryger, and the late Irv and Lillian Rosen.

Calvin and Rosanne Blinder happily announce the engagement of their son, Seth, to Anthony Sireci, son of Maria Sireci and the late Giuseppe Sireci.

Seth graduated magna cum laude with bachelor of arts degrees in East Asian studies and linguistics from New York University. He received a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he was managing editor of Law Review. He is currently an associate focused on mergers and acquisitions in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.

Anthony graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from New York University. He received a medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is currently an assistant professor of clinical pathology at the Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons and the assistant director of the Biochemical Genetics Laboratory at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Seth is the grandson of Goldie and David Wolf and Ruth Blinder and the late William Blinder.

Charlie Citrenbaum and Jennifer Golden are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Citrenbaum, to Matt Levinson, son of Ira and Debbie Levinson.

Katelyn graduated from Goucher College with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education. She received a master’s degree in reading from Towson University. She is currently teaching at the Learning Ladder at Temple Oheb Shalom.

Matt graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is the general manager and fifth-generation funeral director at Sol Levinson and Bros. Funeral Home.

Katelyn is the granddaughter of Louis Citrenbaum and the late Doro-thy Citrenbaum, and the late Rose and Eli Golden.

Matt is the grandson of Bettye and Burton Levinson and the late Marjorie Levinson and the late Zena and Louis Ginsberg.

An October 2012 wedding is planned.

Randee Greenberg and Richard Holden and David and Eileen Greenberg are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Robyn, to Jason Michael Brown, son of Robert and Robin Brown of Williamstown, N.J.

Heather earned dual bachelor’s degrees in business management and marketing from the University of Delaware in 2008. She is the director of events and membership at Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley, Md.

Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from York College of Pennsylvania in 2006. In 2010, he completed the Workboat Mate Program at the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies. In 2012, he acquired his Mate 1,600-Tons Oceans license from the U.S. Coast Guard. Jason is an officer for Seacor Marine.

Heather is the granddaughter of Seymour and Judith Blaustein and Bernard and Elaine Greenberg.

Jason is the grandson of Robert and Carol Brown and Marlene and the late Philip Kritz.

Wendy and Eddie Gross of Potomac, Md., and Donna and Stuart London of New York City are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Alissa and Cary.

Alissa graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in communications and works as an integrated marketing manager at Fairchild Fashion Media, a division of Conde Nast, in New York. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn Gross and the late Gerwin Gross of Pikesville and Ray and Isidore Lieberman of Silver Spring, Md. 

Cary earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and a law degree from New York Law School. He serves as a public defender at Brooklyn Defender Services in New York. He is the grandson of Judy and Jerry Davis of New York City and Bernie London and the late Claire London of Eastchester, N.Y.

An October 2013 wedding is planned in New York City.

Hannah M. Heller announces the engagement of her daughter, Gila Shoshana, to Robert (Rob) Harris Golder of Stow, Mass. Gila is also the daughter of the late Craig Heller. Rob is the son of Linda and Leonard Golder. 

Gila is a recent graduate of Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing. Rob is a first-year law student at Cornell University.

A May 2013 wedding is planned.

Marty and Shelley Sharrow, and Gene and Charlene Eisman and Norm and Amy Caruthers announce the engagement of their children, Renee Lindsay Sharrow and Matthew H Eisman.

Renee received a bachelor of arts degree in communications from University of Maryland, College Park and is director of public relations at Park Hyatt Washington.

Matthew received a bachelor of science degree in journalism from West Virginia University and is a district manager in major accounts for ADP Inc.

Renee is the granddaughter of Sophie Goldberg and the late Phillip Goldberg; and the late Hannah and Bernard Sharrow.

Matthew is the grandson of the late Sam and Pauline Eisman, and the late Jack and Frances Lazowick.

An October 2012 wedding is planned.

David and Symone Sutton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jade Elyse, to Scott Edward Wildesen, son of Edward and Jane Wildesen of Garrett County.

Jade and Scott both graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with degrees in psychology. They are currently pursuing master’s degrees in elementary education at Frostburg State University.

Jade is the granddaughter of Joyce and Paul Spector and the late Betty Sutton. Scott is the grandson of Joyce and Fred Bell and the late Doris and James Wildesen.

The couple resides in Hagerstown. A September 2013 wedding is planned.

Ken and Faye Tilles happily announce the engagement of their daughter, Erica Michelle Tilles, to Christopher Scott Lam, son of Joyce and Steve Lam of New York. 

Erica graduated cum laude from Towson University with a degree in mass communications.  She is currently a manager, producer and editor for NBC News in New York. Chris graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in communications and a minor in history.  Chris does lighting and set work for various television stations in New York. 

Erica is the granddaughter of Ida Tilles and the late Michael Tilles, and the late Betty and Nathan Sinofsky. Chris is the grandson of the late Alice and Albert Lips and the late Georgetta and Samuel Lam.

A June 2013 wedding is planned.

Alan and Rochelle Ziglin of Dunwoody, Ga. announce the engagement of their son, Eric, to Jenny Fairburn, daughter of Patricia and Leroy Fairburn of Folsom, La.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Bessie Sharp of Abita Springs, La., and the late Lucy and Newton Fairburn of Folsom, La. She is step-granddaughter of the late Myrtle Fairburn of Folsom, La.

Jenny graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s degree in history. She is employed by the Marriott Courtyard in San Antonio, Texas.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Esther and Ernst Huth of Savannah, Ga., and the late Mildred and Max Ziglin of Atlanta, formally of Baltimore. Eric is also the great-nephew of Rebecca Ziglin of Baltimore. Eric graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. He is employed as a photojournalist at WAOI-TV in San Antonio.
