By discussing andropause earlier, we have ventured into the topic of male sexual dysfunction. This is a very broad topic which includes such issues as andropause, premature ejaculation, impotence (both psychogenic and organic) and Peyronies disease. Each one of these issues is in itself a part of the diagnosis of sexual dysfunction in men and deserves discussion. Sexual dysfunction can occur along the age spectrum from the beginning of sexual activity as a teenager all the way until the end of active sexual as an octogenarian or even later. Each of the various diagnoses tends to have an age group in which is more prevalent, but as always in medicine there are no hard and fast rules.
